To give you a more predictable and consistent credit over time, monthly credit promotions are divided over a fixed window of time.
When you purchase a device through upfront payment or device financing, your monthly credit gets applied over a specified or fixed number of months. For example, if you have a $480 USD promotion for 24 months, you get a $20 USD promotional bill credit per month.
How to qualify for monthly bill credits
To qualify, you must activate your device on Google Fi and then stay active for the entire duration of the promotion.
Important: The monthly bill credit promotion isn’t available for phone subscriptions.
How credits apply to your account
- The monthly bill credit is attached to the email that activates the device.
- If you leave a group plan for another type of Google Fi service plan, such as a single subscriber or a different group plan, your monthly credit promotion moves to your new plan.
- There’s one monthly bill credit promotion per line.
Pause the service
When your service is paused, you continue to earn monthly credit.
- If your monthly bill is less than the monthly credit amount: Any unused credit doesn’t roll over to the next month.
- If your account is paused for extended periods of time: You may forfeit some of your credit.
For example, the monthly bill credit gives you $10 USD per month. If you pause for most of the month and end up with a $5 USD bill, you:
- Get $5 USD off that bill.
- Lose a potential $5 USD in credit.
When you redeem monthly bill credits, you:
- Can use them toward Google Fi service, which also includes service charges like fees, service taxes, and device financing.
- Can’t use them toward device protection.
Check your credit
View a tutorial on how to find your Google Fi bill credit balance on your Android or iPhone.
To find your balance, all Google Fi bill credits you’ve earned, and the status of pending credits:
- Sign in to your Google Fi account.
- In your web browser: Open https://fi.google.com/account.
- On your mobile device: Open the Google Fi app.
- Select Billing.
- Scroll and select Fi savings.
Cancellation of promotion
When you cancel your service, your monthly promotion and remaining credit are also canceled. If you have a financed phone, you owe the remaining balance of the device and monthly bill credits don’t apply.
