At the beginning of each month, Google Fiber sends you an email with your monthly bill attached as a PDF file. Ten days later, we automatically charge the primary credit card, debit card, or bank account associated with your account. In addition to regular debit cards, we accept prepaid debit cards with a Visa®, Amex®, Discover®, or MasterCard® logo.
If the charge fails, we retry the transaction immediately with any backup payment methods you have on file. If you don't have a backup payment method on file, we retry the transaction using your primary payment method the next day.
How your bill is calculated
First bill. Covers the upcoming month of Google Fiber service (including any applicable fees and taxes) and a prorated charge for the number of service days starting the day after your installation date and ending on the last day of that month. In addition, your bill includes any one-time charges (such as video on demand) accrued during the prorated period.
For example:
- If Google Fiber service is installed on May 23, we email you a PDF of your bill June 3, and automatically charge the primary payment method on file 10 days later.
- Your June bill includes charges for Fiber service May 24-31 and June 1-30, as well as any one-time charges accrued during the prorated period (May 24-31).
Subsequent bills. Covers the upcoming month of Google Fiber service (including any applicable taxes and fees) and any one-time charges (such as video on demand) accrued during the prior month.
You can update your payment method at any time after you sign up for Google Fiber.
