Configure port forwarding with the GFiber App

We regularly update the GFiber App with new features to help make it even easier for you to manage your home or business network. We’ll be making improvements throughout 2025 and beyond, so your GFiber App might look different from the examples below.

Port forwarding allows you to expose applications or services that you host on your network (such as HTTP or FTP) to external Internet users. For example, you might implement port forwarding if you host a multi-player game server on your network.  In such cases, your application uses a specific port, and you would need to forward that port in order for devices and users outside of your home to access that application.

You can use the GFiber App to set up and configure port forwarding settings.

These are advanced settings. You won't need to view or change these settings for typical use of your network.

To add a new port forwarding rule:

  1. Tap Network.
  2. Tap Network settings.
