Time events using the stopwatch feature on your Fitbit device, or use the countdown timer to keep track of elapsed time.
Time events with the stopwatch
- On your device, open the Timers app .
- If you used the countdown timer previously, swipe down and tap the stopwatch icon .
- Tap the play icon to start the stopwatch.
- Tap the pause icon to stop the stopwatch.
- To reset the stopwatch, swipe down and tap Reset. Press the button or buttons to exit.
Keep track of elapsed time with the countdown timer
- On your device, open the Timers app .
- If you used the stopwatch previously, swipe up and tap the countdown icon .
- Swipe to choose the number of hours, then tap to set the hours. To set a timer for less than an hour, choose 00 hr.
- Swipe to choose the number of minutes, then tap to set the minutes.
- Tap the play icon to start the timer.
- To reset the timer, swipe down and tap Reset. Press the button or buttons to exit.
- Your device vibrates when the time allotted is done.

- On your tracker, navigate to the Timer screen and then tap it. The stopwatch is the first option.
- Tap the screen and then tap the play button to start.
- Tap the pause button to end.
- Tap the arrow in the top right to reset the stopwatch, or press the left button on your tracker to exit.

- On your tracker, navigate to the Timer screen and then tap it.
- The stopwatch is the first option. Swipe to choose the countdown timer.
- Tap the screen and then tap 0:00 to set the timer.
- Press the left button to return to the countdown screen.
- Tap the play button to start. Your tracker flashes and vibrates when the time allotted is done.
Fitbit Charge 2 has a stopwatch feature. To time events with the stopwatch:
- On your tracker, navigate to the Stopwatch screen.
- Press and hold the button to start the stopwatch.
- Press and hold the button to stop.

- If you used the timer previously, swipe right to choose the stopwatch feature.
- Tap the play icon to start the stopwatch.
- Tap the pause icon to stop.
- Tap the reset icon to reset the stopwatch.

The stopwatch and timer can run at the same time.

- Swipe up to dismiss the alert.

- On your device, swipe left or right from the clock face to find the Timers tile.
- Tap a timer to start it.
- If the duration you want isn’t listed, tap the menu icon Add Timer.
- Swipe up or down to set the timer.
- Tap the time to start the timer.
- You can navigate away from the tile while the timer is running. Return to the Timers tile to see the progress of your timer. Press the pause icon to pause the timer or the X icon to cancel it. Your device flashes and vibrates when the time allotted is done.
- Tap the check mark icon or press the button to stop the alert.
