Why do I need to update the birthday for my child’s Google Account?
Some parents might have previously created a Google Account for their child with an adult’s date of birth due to past technical limitations. Going forward, children now need to use Fitbit with a Google Account birthday that matches their real date of birth.

To change your child’s birthday:

  1. Sign in to your child’s Google account.
  2. In a browser window, visit the Google Account Manager.
  3. Click Personal Info and then Birthday.
  4. Update the birthday and then Save.
Why can't I set up my Ace 3 in Quebec?
Fitbit began requiring new child accounts to be registered with Google in June 2023. At this time, child registration isn’t supported in Quebec.
If you aren’t able to set up Ace 3 in Quebec due to this change, you may be eligible for a refund. Return your device to the original retailer if your purchase was made within their return window. Otherwise, contact customer support at contact.fitbit.com.
Note: When you contact customer support, provide proof of purchase and your shipping address. If you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll be provided with a prepaid shipping label to return your device.
