Make and receive calls and messages on Fitbit Ace LTE

You can call and message from the Fitbit Ace LTE with parents and up to 20 contacts. If you can't make calls or receive messages, go to Fix phone call and messaging issues on Fitbit Ace LTE.

Requirements

  • An active Ace Pass data plan
  • Internet connection
  • Added contacts. On the Fitbit Ace LTE, press the top side button to see the available contacts. To add contacts, go to the Fitbit Ace app. For more details, go to Add and manage contacts on Fitbit Ace LTE.

Calls, messages, and voice messages

Important: Your child cannot call or message friends and siblings with the Fitbit Ace LTE.

On your watch

Make and receive calls with Fitbit Ace LTE using the built-in microphone and speaker.

  1. On Fitbit Ace LTE, press the top side button once.
  2. Under Call & Message, tap the contact’s name.
    • You should always see the contact or parent who set up the device. If you can’t find any contacts, make sure you have an internet connection or reset the watch (Long press the top side button and select Reset). This will also be the case if the watch is set up with an unsupervised Google Account and you haven’t added any contacts yet.

  • To place a call, tap the Call icon .
  • To draft and send a message, you can tap the emoji icon to send an emoji, select a template response, or scroll to the bottom to use the keyboard to send a message .
  • To send an audio message, first tap and hold the microphone icon to record your message. Then select the Send icon to send the message.
  • To send a voice to text message, scroll to the bottom to find the keyboard then tap the microphone icon to enable voice dictation. Tap the Check mark once you’re done then tap the Send icon to send the message.

Notifications of missed calls and messages

  • A white dot on the homescreen below the time indicates that a new notification is available. To check the notification tray, swipe up from the homescreen.
  • If your Fitbit Ace LTE is unable to receive notifications, go to Manage notifications and fix common issues.


On the Fitbit Ace app

On the child card, tap either Call to place a call or Message to draft a message.

Your call and message history will be displayed under ‘Message.’

Missed calls

If you've missed calls that you weren’t notified of, make sure that incoming call notifications are allowed on the Fitbit Ace app. For more details, go to Fix phone call and messaging issues on Fitbit Ace LTE.
