Fix a Fitbit Ace LTE that won't charge

If your Fitbit Ace LTE battery is not charging after you've followed the steps to Charge Fitbit Ace LTE, try these fixes.

Important: The Fitbit Ace LTE will only charge when placed in the correct orientation. The charger’s power cord should be on the same side as the buttons.

Step 1: Confirm that you're using a compatible charger

Charge the watch using only the recommended USB-C® Fast Charging Cable.

Step 2: Clean the watch and charger

Wipe down the back of the watch with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no dirt or build up on the 4 metal contact pins.

Unplug and wipe the charger with a dry cloth. Ensure the 4 charging pins are not recessed, stuck or damaged.

Step 3: Confirm there is a connection to the charger

Once properly aligned, you’ll see a charging icon appear on the screen.

If your watch hasn’t been charged in a while, it might take a few minutes to start charging. Check how long to wait if your Fitbit Ace LTE screen doesn't immediately start charging.

If you still don’t see the charging icon, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the watch from the charger entirely.
  2. Set the watch back on the charger.
Note: The watch only fits on the charger in one orientation. Your watch won't charge if it's placed incorrectly.

  1. Once the charging screen is visible on the watch screen, you'll know the issue is resolved.
