  7. Tap Add new keyboard and then Gboard.

If that doesn’t work, try restarting your iPhone or iPad.

When you update Gboard, it could disappear from your keyboard list. To add it back:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap Keyboard and then Keyboards.
  4. Tap Add new keyboard and then Gboard.

Delete saved words from the Gboard app

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gboard app Gboard.
  2. Tap Keyboard settings and then Clear my dictionary and then OK.

  2. At the top left, tap Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Gboard and then Keyboard settings.
  4. Tap Clear my dictionary and then OK.
Keep your info secure

We know that what you type on your iPhone or iPad is personal, so Gboard keeps your info private.

What Gboard sends to Google:

  • Your searches are sent to Google to get search results.
  • Usage statistics are sent to let us know which features are used most often, and to help us improve.
  • If you use Gboard's talk-to-text feature, your voice is sent to Google for transcription.

What Gboard doesn't send to Google:

  • Anything you type, other than your searches, such as passwords or chats with friends.
  • Saved words aren’t sent. You can delete saved words at any time.
