Google Ads Data Manager is a data import and management tool with a point-and-click UI experience that lets you bring your customer data from outside of Google and activate it in Google Ads. Because it centralizes data management, you can connect a data source once, then activate it across multiple Google destinations for a number of use cases. For example, you might upload data from BigQuery for Enhanced Conversions for Leads, then reuse the same connection to bring data into Customer Match.
Designed with a focus of ease of use, features include the following:
- Centralized data source management
- Point-and-click onboarding directly in the Google Ads UI
- Guided workflows, so that you don’t have to invest in developer resources or make cumbersome manual uploads
- Data and file formatting, including hashing and column mapping
- Scheduled imports, to ensure data is recent and accurate
You can use Data Manager to import your first-party data, then activate it for use in Google destinations, such as Customer Match and Offline Conversion Ingestion. To view all supported data sources and use cases, see Data sources and destinations.
Data Manager uses these concepts to describe data:
- Data source: A connected product, imported file, or third-party integration–for example, BigQuery.
- Connection: A data object imported from a data source–for example, an individual table or file.
- Destination: A use case; typically a Google product or product feature, where imported data is activated–for example, Google Ads Customer Match.
