Set up a budget

Before you start serving your ads on Google, check the budget limit for your migrated campaign.

In Google Ads, you can set a daily budget for each campaign, or use a shared budget for multiple campaigns.

Converting ad campaigns does not carry over the daily budget from the original campaigns. It is indicated in Step 3 in the transfer process. You can also correct it at the last conversion step or when checking the campaign in Google Ads before starting.

Specify the new budget settings as needed.

Instructions

To adjust the values:

  1. In your Google Ads account, click the Campaigns icon Campaigns icon.
  2. Click the Campaigns drop-down in the section menu.
  3. Click Campaigns
  4. In the 'Budget' column of the campaign that you want to edit, click on the pencil icon.
  5. Enter your budget.
  6. Click Save.

Before starting your ad campaign, review the guidelines for setting a budget, and bidding, in Google Ads.

The budget defines the maximum amount spent on a single campaign. In other words, this is the average daily cost that you can afford. Since traffic is subject to fluctuations, the daily consumption may vary, but the total monthly expenses will not exceed the budget value multiplied by 30.4 (the average number of days in a month). This way, not only do you not miss out on your audience, but you won’t exceed your expenses.

A bid is the maximum amount that you are willing to pay per click on your ad. The rates can be changed at any time. You can set bids at the ad group level or at the individual keyword level. If you set a bid at the ad group and keyword level at the same time, the system will use the bid from the keyword level, since that level is lower.

Steps to change bids for an Ad group
