When retailers link a Merchant Center and a Google Ads account, they can start the process by sending an invite from either platform.
An invite can be cancelled or resent at any time. Additionally, once it’s been accepted, it’s possible to remove the link between the accounts from either the Merchant Center or the Google Ads account at any time.
This article describes how to make these changes.
Instructions
Cancel a link request from Merchant Center
- Sign in to your Merchant Centre account.
- In your Merchant Center account, click the tools icon and then click Linked accounts under 'Settings'.
- In the Google Ads tab, you’ll see the request listed with the customer ID of the Google Ads account.
- On the right, click Cancel request.
- When prompted, click Continue.
Unlink accounts from Merchant Center
- In your Merchant Center account, click the tools icon and then click Linked accounts under 'Settings'.
- Go to 'Your Google Ads account' or 'Other Google Ads accounts'.
- Go to the account that you'd like to unlink and click Unlink.
Unlink accounts from Google Ads
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon .
- Click Data Manager.
- Under 'Google Merchant Center', click Details.
- Find the account that you want to unlink and click Unlink.
