Upload on the manager account level for multiple account changes

This animated GIF shows you how to bulk upload spreadsheets in Google Ads.

Here's how to upload your spreadsheet into a Google Ads manager account to affect multiple accounts:

  1. In your Google Ads manager account, click the Tools icon Tools icon.
  2. Click the Bulk actions drop-down in the section menu.
  3. Click Uploads.
  4. Click the plus icon .
  5. Under 'What are you uploading', select Accounts if your spreadsheet creates new accounts. Select Campaigns for all other use cases.
  6. Under 'Source', you can choose Upload a file or Connect to Google Sheets.
    • Upload a file: Click Select a file from your computer and add your file.
    • Google Sheets: Click Link an existing Google Sheet and select a spreadsheet from your Google Drive account.
  7. Under 'Apply to', select Multiple Accounts.
    • (Recommended) To find any potential issues with uploading your file, click Preview.

Note: To use this feature, make sure that you have a 'Customer ID' column present in your spreadsheet indicating which sub-accounts are to be affected. Manager account-level bulk upload is only able to affect accounts that are within that manager account’s hierarchy.

Schedule a bulk upload

If you’d like to schedule a bulk upload to occur at a future date, use the following steps:

  1. In your Google Ads account, click the Goals icon Goals icon.
  2. Click the Conversions drop-down in the section menu.
  3. Click Uploads, then click schedules.
  4. Click the plus button .
  5. Enter the schedule name and select the source (Google Sheets, HTTPS or SFTP).
  6. Upload your spreadsheet, or enter the URL, then select the frequency and time of your bulk upload.
    • Optionally, click Preview to view the results of your scheduled upload.
  7. Click Save. The sheet will not be processed until the schedule you select in step 7.
Note: Scheduled uploads may take up to an hour to process. To account for this delay, you should time your uploads accordingly. For example, you should upload your spreadsheet at 11.00 A.M. if you want it to run at 12.00 P.M.

View the results of your bulk upload

Once your file is uploaded, you’ll find a new entry for that file at the top of the table in the 'Bulk operations' section. Applied changes will have a 'Details' link where you can view your past changes. For uploaded spreadsheets that you haven't applied, you can choose Preview, Apply or Remove.

Note:
  • If you upload a spreadsheet with more than 1,000 rows and preview it, all of the rows will be uploaded but you’ll only find the first 1,000 rows in the preview.
  • You can find all of your changes after you apply them by downloading the results.
  • You can only view details of files uploaded over the past 90 days.
