Campaign health checks

As you create your campaign, you’ll receive helpful guidance based on your selections for targeting, bidding, budget, and other settings that can help you optimize your campaign performance as well as help ensure that your campaign can serve.

Health checks that can make an impact on your campaign:

1. Your conversion potential may be limited by your current budget selections (in beta)

Some advertisers may get a note such as this, with specific numbers applicable to their campaign, it means that we predict that an increase to budget can lead to greater campaign success, while target cost-per-conversion may remain unchanged. We make this prediction using inputs like current campaign settings and conversion history.

Action to take: Increase your budget to help you expand your audience reach and increase conversions. The note will specify the budget increase that can lead to a higher number of conversions.

2. Your audience targeting is too narrow in scope

If you get this note, it’s because your targeting settings are so narrow in scope that there's only a limited number of potential customers who can discover your ads.

Action to take: Turn on optimized targeting to seamlessly reach new and relevant audiences that are most likely to convert based on your advertising goals. You can also remove and edit some of your audience targeting selections.

3. Your bidding and other settings are preventing you from maximizing the budget you set

Health checks that remind you to set bids and audience targeting that make better use of your budget may include:

Action to take: Increase your bid to make greater use of your budget (the note will specify a bid that could maximize your specific budget), and turn on optimized targeting to seamlessly reach new and relevant audiences that are most likely to convert based on your advertising goals. You may also get a suggestion to use the Maximize conversions bidding strategy instead of the bidding strategy you’re currently using.
