With performance estimates, you can view estimates of performance-related metrics for different bid types while you set up a new campaign. Depending on the campaign type and bid type that you choose, you can view estimates for metrics like conversions, conversion value, avg. CPA, avg. vCPM, avg. CPV, ROAS or others over weekly or daily time periods.
This article explains what performance estimates are and what you can learn from your estimates during campaign construction.
Before you begin
Check if your campaign type is eligible for performance estimates in campaign construction using the table at the end of this article.
How it works
While setting up a new campaign, you can view forecasts of different performance-related metrics for different bid types.
After setting your budget and choosing your bid settings, performance estimates appear on the right side panel. Your estimates depend on your campaign type and your settings.
Example: Campaign estimates for a Performance Max campaign
You’re creating a new Performance Max campaign. After you’ve set your budget and chosen your bid settings, performance estimates appear in the right side panel.
Example of a new Performance Max campaign’s weekly estimates. Your estimates may include different metrics or estimate periods.
To understand how your performance metrics may change with different budget values, use the percentage slider under the 'Budget options' dropdown in the right side panel to preview different values. (Note: 'Budget options' dropdown doesn’t exist for all campaign types.)
Similarly, you can adjust your bid settings on the 'Campaign settings' page to understand how different bid types affect your estimated performance.
