Cost per action: Definition

A cost per action (CPA) is the total cost spent to receive the required actions by your customers. This action is typically a purchase, registration, sign-up and many more.

You can calculate the CPA by following the below formula:

CPA = MC / A

  • CPA is the cost per action. For example, £20 GBP per action.
  • MC is the marketing cost.
  • A is the number of actions.
