1. What is the turnaround time of ad approvals on YouTube TV?

Ad approvals on YouTube TV follow the same approval timing and guidelines as YouTube Select. There’s a turnaround time of 2 business days before the launch of your campaign. For example, if you need an ad approved by end of day Wednesday, you need to submit your ad creative no later than Monday. If you submit your ad creative at 2PM on Monday, it will not be approved until Wednesday end of day.

2. Will competitive separation be provided on YouTube TV inventory?

No. There is not currently a product solution for competitive separation.

3. Will YouTube TV inventory be accessible in YouTube Select via programmatic buying in DV360?

Yes, YouTube TV inventory will be accessible via programmatic buying in DV360.

4. What will YouTube TV inventory be priced at?

Pricing will vary based on targeting, flight dates, and whether or not an advertiser and/or agency has an upfront agreement with YouTube. YouTube TV inventory is included in YouTube Select run-of-lineups and content lineups by default with no additional charge.

5. What kind of sports programming does YouTube TV feature?

  • YouTube TV features a wide range of sports including: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA football, NCAA basketball, UEFA, FIFA, and many other sports from our partner networks.
  • Ads are eligible to run on sports programming on YouTube TV cable networks. If you’re interested in specifically targeting live sports programming, we recommend the YouTube TV Sports Lineup.

6. How is this different from YouTube Premium?

YouTube TV and YouTube Premium are distinct but complementary subscription offerings. The key points of value can be defined as:

  Price Exclusive content Features

YouTube TV

$72.99 USD/month

Live & Video on Demand television content

  • Live viewing
  • Cloud-based DVR
YouTube Premium $11.99 USD/month

YouTube Originals

  • Ad free
  • Offline
  • Background
  • *Across YT main, YT Music, YT Kids apps
  • YouTube Premium isn’t an app, but a paid membership associated with your email address. When signed-in, YouTube Premium gives users a premium YouTube experience including uninterrupted music, ad-free videos, and YouTube Premium Originals from popular YouTube creators.
  • YouTube Premium and YouTube TV will be sold separately.

7. Since YouTube TV can be paused and fast forwarded, are advertisers still charged for those impressions or is YouTube able to measure completion rates or viewability?

We bill on the first frame. You can monitor completion rates in reporting. It's unlikely that you'd be charged if a user fast forwards through the whole ad, since it's unlikely that they would see the first frame.
