Money transfer is a way to add money to your Google Ads account by transferring money to Google. See the instructions below on how to set up and make a money transfer, what to expect and what you can do if your transfer is taking too long.
Money transfer
SetupIf you'd like to set up or make a payment using money transfer, follow these steps:
To process your payment, you'll need to include your unique reference number on your bank's transfer form. A reference number is what we use to connect your money transfer payment to your Google Ads account. Think of it as a thumb print that helps us identify your payment.
If the form's Notes field or Reference number field doesn't have enough room for the entire number, enter the number in the Name field before, or instead of, your name. (Remember that the reference number can be found on the transfer information form that you generated in your Google Ads account. It's different from your Google Ads Customer ID.) You'll need to generate a new reference number for each payment that you make - we can't process your payment if you re-use reference numbers.
- Sign in to your Google Ads account at https://ads.google.com.
- Click the tools icon and under 'Billing', choose Billing summary.
- Click the Make a payment button. Note: If you don't see money transfer as an option, click the add a new payment method link, then select Money transfer.
- Click Continue to make a payment.
- Enter the amount of money that you'd like to transfer into your Google Ads account. Bear in mind that there might be a minimum amount for your location and currency. Click Continue to review.
- After making sure that the payment information is correct, click on the Confirm payment button to generate a transfer information form. This form provides all the information that you need to make a money transfer, including a unique reference number if it's needed for your location.
- Print out the form or write down the information provided.
- Follow the instructions on your form to initiate a money transfer. This process varies from bank to bank, so ask your bank for its specific instructions.
Once we receive your money transfer, we'll send you an email. You ads will typically start running then if they had stopped or if this is your first payment. If you're refreshing your balance, your ads will continue to run.
Processing time: Two to five working days, depending on your location. That's because a money transfer depends on a few factors, including local bank processes.
Tips
- A reference number isn't the same as your customer identification number.
- You can generate up to five reference numbers without sending a payment. After that, you'll need to use one of the reference numbers you already have to generate a new one.
- Make sure that you don't re-use a reference number. We won't be able to process your payment.
- Contact your bank before making a money transfer. Learn what their process is and whether they charge any fees (Google can't reimburse your bank's fees.)
- Always include a reference number with your transfer - it's like a thumbprint that we use to identify your payment and match it to your account.
- If your bank's transfer form doesn't include a space to write a reference number, enter the number in front of the field where you write your name or in place of your name.
- Google might not be mentioned in the name of the bank to which you send your payment. We’ve partnered with Arvato Finance Services (AFS) to process your payment, so you might see this listed as the account holder.
- If your account is on manual payments, your ads will stop running when your payments are used up. Check your balance regularly. We'll send you emails when your balance starts getting low and again if it reaches zero.
If you're worried that your money transfer is taking too long, there are a couple things that you can do to check that your payment is on its way:
- Check that your funds have been withdrawn from your bank account. If they haven't, contact your bank.
- Check with your bank that the funds were transferred to the correct account. The account number should be the same as the one listed in our payment instructions (generated when you made a money transfer payment in your Google Ads account).
If it's been two weeks since you initiated the transfer and you still don't see your payment, you can contact us. You'll need to include a valid proof of payment with this contact form (by clicking on the "Choose File" button). Click the link below to see more about a valid proof of payment.
How to include a valid proof of paymentA valid proof of payment follows these guidelines:
- It can be a scanned copy of your receipt or a screenshot of your bank's online statement.
- It must be in an uneditable format, such as .jpg, .gif or .png.
- It must include the following information:
- The date the transfer was made. If possible, show all transactions for five days before and after the payment.
- The amount and currency of the payment.
- The beneficiary of the funds (that's Google Ads).
- The name of the remitting bank.
- For your safety, please black out any sensitive information on your bank or credit card statement, particularly your entire bank account number or the middle eight digits of your credit card number.
It happens - so don't worry. Here's how you can help us match your payment if you forgot to include a reference number:
- Check that the transfer amount has been withdrawn from your bank account. If it hasn't, contact your bank.
- Confirm with your bank that your money was transferred to the correct account. The account number should be exactly the same as the one listed in the original payment instructions – the printable form that you generated when you made a money transfer, which includes the reference number.
- Contact us using this form. Make sure that you provide a non-editable proof of payment.
Processing time: We can look into your payment once we've received it. If you notice that you forgot to include a reference number, please wait 10 days before contacting support. It can take up to 30 days to process a money transfer without a reference number. Once we identify your payment, we'll match it to your account and get in contact with you. If you'd like your ads to run while you wait for this to happen, you might be able to make a payment using a credit card.

If you can't see your payment credited to your account within two or three hours, it's possible that the online connection between your bank and GlobalCollect was interrupted. This happens sometimes, unfortunately. If it does, click on the link below to see more information:
More on interrupted connectionsHere's what you can expect, based on the type of connection interruption that you encounter:
- Temporary interruption: GlobalCollect will receive a payment notice from your bank but the connection to Google might be interrupted. You won't receive an error message, but your payment will be applied to your Google Ads account after it's been processed. This can take as long as five days.
- Permanent interruption: You'll receive an error message about an unsuccessful payment. If you want, you can make a non-real time bank transfer to GlobalCollect, which can take five to 10 working days before being credited to your account.

Your manual payment should be credited to your Google Ads account within two to three working days. If this hasn't happened after three working days, read the section below for troubleshooting tips.

Boleto bancário
With boleto bancário, you can make a manual payment for your Google Ads costs.
RequirementsTo use this payment method, you'll need a Google Ads account with a business address in Brazil, with the Brazilian Real (BRL) selected as your account’s currency.
If you'd like to make a payment to your Google Ads account using boleto bancário, follow these steps below after creating your account.
- Sign in to your Google Ads account at https://ads.google.com.
- Click the tools icon and under 'Billing', choose Billing summary.
- Click the Make a payment button. The minimum payment amount is 40 BRL.
- Select Boleto bancário. If you don’t see it as an option, click the Add a new payment method link to see it.
- Select Boleto. Then, in the “Specify your payment amount” section, enter how much you’d like to make a payment for.
- Click on the Create Boleto button. A boleto will be generated, which you can print or email.
You can pay the boleto on the day it was generated, or schedule the payment for a more convenient date, keeping in mind the eight-day expiration period. If you miss this period, you can generate a new boleto and discard the old one.
Once you've submitted your boleto at your bank or on your bank's online boleto payment page, then your payment should be processed within about three working days. If you're making your first payment or if your account is out of funds, then your ads will typically start running at this point. Continue to make payments as needed in the future. You can issue and pay boletos in any amount over R$40.00.
Invoices and receipts
- Invoices: You'll receive monthly invoices reflecting the charges accrued in your account each calendar month. Because you're only charged for the clicks that occurred on your ads in a given month, the amount in your invoice may be smaller than the amount that you paid via boleto. Any remaining funds in your account can be used in ensuing months.
- SSReceipts: Your receipt is issued on the last day of the month and sent to the Google Ads account contact email between the fifth and 10th working day of the following month.
You'll receive an email letting you know that the receipt was issued and that it's available on the City Government website. The letter includes the link, Corporate Taxpayers' Registry (CNPJ) of the service provider, the receipt number and the verification code for accessing the receipt. It's important that you keep your registration information updated to avoid postal delivery problems.
Obtain a voucherReceipts relate to the services provided during a given month and not to the payment of a specific boleto. Each receipt is issued to collect the applicable taxes on the services provided.
As a result, this amount might differ from the amount deposited through the boleto. Please note, however, that all the funds remaining in your account can be used during the following months and will be included in the receipts related to the date on which the service was provided.
If you’d like to get a voucher of the total amount paid by bill, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account at https://ads.google.com.
- Click the tools icon and under 'Billing', choose Billing summary.
- Click the Transaction history link on the left menu. (If you want to see the billing summary associated with a specific period, then select the corresponding months and years on the drop-down menu at the top of the page and click on OK.)
- Click Payment Received for any line item that reflects a charge made to your account.
- On your browser menu, select File and Print.
- Click on Print.
All paid boletos are processed within three working days. If your balance isn't updated after three days, please contact us and attach digital copies of your proof of payment and the respective boleto. The document must be legible and include your Customer ID and name. Once we have received your proof of payment, we will investigate the issue.
- Check your prepaid account balance regularly to make sure that you don't run out of funds. Make more payments as needed. When your Google Ads prepayment balance is running low, we'll email you to let you know to make an additional payment.
- You might be able to make payments at your local bank or online. Some banks accept boleto payments through their websites using the boleto reference number. Contact your bank to determine your options for paying a boleto.
- Your bank shouldn't charge you a processing fee. However, if for some reason your bank imposes a fee or is unable to complete the transaction, then another local bank may be able to provide more suitable options.
Money transfer
With money transfer, you can make a manual payment using an ATM or your bank, and the payment will typically be credited to your account within three working days.
RequirementsTo use this payment method, you'll need a Google Ads account with a business address in Japan, and Japanese Yen (JPY) selected as your account's currency.
Here's how to make a payment to your Google Ads account using money transfer:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account at https://ads.google.com.
- Click the tools icon and under 'Billing', choose Billing summary.
- Click the Make a payment button. The minimum payment amount is JPY 1,000.
- Select Money transfer. If you can't see it as an option, click the Add a new payment method link to see it.
- Use the bank information provided to make an ATM or money transfer payment, which can be done in person or via your bank's website.
Bank transfers will typically be credited to your account within three working days. To allow for faster processing, we've assigned a unique bank account number to your Google Ads account. Your payment must be sent to this unique bank account number each time you initiate a bank transfer or ATM payment. This bank account information can be found on your Google Ads account's Billing settings page, in the fields labelled Beneficiary account number and Branch code.
Funds will typically be credited to your Google Ads account within three working days, but it can sometimes take longer. Make sure that you keep all payment records and receipts until you see that the payment has reached your Google Ads account.
Processing time: Usually three working days, but it can take longer. That's because a transfer depends on a number of factors, including your bank's processes.
If you're worried that your payment is taking too long, there are a couple things that you can do to check that it's on its way:
- Check that your funds have been withdrawn from your bank account. If they haven't, contact your bank.
- Check with your bank that the funds were transferred to the correct account. The account number should be the same as the one listed in our payment instructions (generated when you made a money transfer payment in your Google Ads account).
If it's been over five working days since you initiated the transfer and you still can't see your payment, you can contact us. You'll need to include a valid proof of payment with this form (by clicking on the "Choose File" button). Click the link below to see more about a valid proof of payment:

The security of your online bank transfer is ensured in two ways:
- You'll sign in to your online bank account with a username and password.
- Your order is processed via a secure server provided by TimesofMoney.
If you make a payment via HDFC and IDBI bank, please enable Secure Access. If Secure Access isn't enabled you'll get a transaction failure. Visit the HDFC bank website to learn how to enable secure access .
You can do this at any time. Just make sure that you've added NetBanking to your account as one of your payment methods. To do that, sign in to your Google Ads account, click the tools icon and under "Billing", choose Billing summary then click the Make a payment button. Below are the steps for making a payment:
- Sign in to your Google Ads account at https://ads.google.com/select/ .
- Click the tools icon and under 'Billing', choose Billing summary.
- Click Make a payment.
- Enter the amount that you'd like to pay in the available field. The minimum manual payment amount is 500 INR.
- Click Go.
- A window will pop up directing you to the TimesofMoney website. Choose your bank name from the drop-down menu and click Submit.
- You'll be directed to your bank's website and will need to follow the instructions on your bank's website to make a payment.
Make sure that you make another payment before your manual payment has been exhausted. We'll send you an email when 30% of your funds are left, to help you make sure that your ads keep running.
Your account balance will typically update within 24 hours of making a payment. At that point, your ads will typically start running if they weren't already.
How to include a valid proof of paymentA valid proof of payment follows these guidelines:
