There are three ways to stop getting emails with updates about your rules: you can change the email settings for that particular rule, pause the rule or remove it. If your rule is email-only, then you must pause it to stop receiving emails from that rule.
Change the email setting for a rule
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon .
- Click the Bulk actions drop-down in the section menu.
- Click Rules.
- Scroll to the right and click Edit rule in the row of the rule you want to change.
- In the "Email results" section, choose how often you'd like to receive emails about your rule. To stop receiving emails completely, select "No emails".
- Click Save.
Pause a rule with email notifications
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon .
- Click the Bulk actions drop-down in the section menu.
- Click Rules.
- Click the down-arrow next to the status icon for any rule in your account and select Pause from the drop-down menu.
Stopping emails for cancelled accounts
- Google Ads account: If you've canceled your Google Ads account, in most cases you can still sign back in and pause or edit rules to change your email settings as explained above.
- Google Account: If you've cancelled your Google Account, you won't be able to sign in to your Google Ads account and change your email settings. If this is the case for you, please contact Customer Support. Learn more about managing your Google Account.
