This article shows you how to edit or permanently remove negative keyword lists.
Bear in mind that if you want to remove a negative keyword list, you won’t be able to do so if it’s currently being used by at least one campaign. You’ll want to remove the negative keyword list from any campaign using it before removing the list permanently.
Instructions
Follow the steps below to edit or remove your negative keyword lists.
Edit a list
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon .
- Click the Shared library drop-down in the section menu.
- Click Exclusion lists.
- From the 'Negative keyword list' tab, find the list that you’d like to update.
- Click the pencil icon beside your negative keyword list, make your desired changes, then click Save.
Remove a list
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon .
- Click the Shared library drop-down in the section menu.
- Click Exclusion lists.
- From the 'Negative keyword list' tab, find the list that you’d like to remove.
- Tick the tick box beside the negative keyword list, then click Remove.
- You can check multiple boxes if you’d like to remove more than one list at once.
Bear in mind
Any changes that you make to your list will be reflected in all campaigns that use this negative keyword list.
