When you make changes with bulk uploads, you might encounter errors. Some of these errors might be due to how your spreadsheet is formatted, or errors in the spreadsheet contents.
This article describes how to find your changes that Google Ads couldn’t apply and their corresponding error messages. You’ll also see solutions for fixing the errors.
How to identify errors with your upload
- In your Google Ads account, click the Tools icon
- Click the Bulk actions drop down in the section menu.
- Click Uploads.
- Find your spreadsheet in the table. If there were errors in uploading the spreadsheet, you’ll see the number of errors in the “Results” column.
- Click the link for the errors in the “Results” column. This takes you to a page that has more details about your file upload.
- Click the tile that has the number of errors, then review the reason for each error in the “Status” column.

If you’re adding an element, remove the value from the ID column. If you’re making changes to an element, make sure that the ID is correct and that the entity has not been removed. If you’re adding an element to an ad group or campaign, please make sure the campaign or ad group has a valid ID. |
Upgraded URL is not the same as previous destination URL. |
The final URL and tracking template should be the same as the destination URL. If you don't want them to be the same, follow the steps outlined in How to upgrade your URLs. |
