This article explains how to add and modify product groups and listing groups within Google Ads Editor.
Instructions
Create a subdivision
- Go to the Product Groups tab, and select the product group or listing group that you would like to subdivide.
- Click on Edit product groups.
- On the window that will appear, click Subdivide and choose the product attribute to define your new product group. By default, the subdivision will only contain one item containing 'Everything else'.
- Example: You might want to subdivide 'All products' by 'Category'. This means that you'll subdivide the 'All products' product group by a category that you choose.
- If you want to use more than one attribute to define your product group, finish creating the current subdivision and repeat the steps above.
- Note: If the product group is already subdivided, creating a new subdivision will delete all of its children (existing subdivisions).
- To add more items, select the subdivision that you have just created and click on Add.
- Select the item that you have just created, and change its value in the right-side panel.
- Example: If you sell shoes and created a subdivision by 'Category', then you might see these possible categories: 'Sandals', 'Dress shoes' and 'Boots'.
- If this is allowed for this type of subdivision and campaign, you can also edit the following fields for that subdivision:
- Type (biddable or not biddable)
- Status (enabled or disabled)
- Max. CPC (Shopping campaigns only)
- URL options (Shopping campaigns only)
- Click Close to leave the product group editing window.
You can also choose to edit or remove an existing subdivision.
