Copy keyword text only

Follow these steps to copy only the keyword text, without keyword-level CPCs or final URLs. This option is available primarily for pasting keyword text outside of Google Ads Editor, such as in a text file or spreadsheet. It isn't possible to paste keyword text directly into ad groups within Google Ads Editor.

  1. In the account tree view, select the campaign or ad group containing the keyword text that you want to copy.
  2. In the type list, click Keywords and targeting > Keywords, then select one or more keywords in the data view.
  3. Select Edit > Copy keyword text or placement URL.
  4. Paste the keyword text into your text file, spreadsheet, or other destination.
When you paste keywords in a new ad group, the keywords' performance statistics, such as impressions and clicks, are not transferred to the new location.
