Google Clips learns to recognize the people who matter most to you. The more you're with someone, the more it learns to capture clips of them.
You can also give your camera a head start by allowing Google Clips to analyze photos downloaded from your Google Photos library.
If your camera is unable to complete the download, check the following:
- Is your phone connected to the internet? In order to download from Google Photos, your phone must be able to reach Google servers. Make sure your phone has internet access either from your mobile carrier or a Wi-Fi network.
- Do you have photos backed up to Google Photos? This feature will attempt to download relevant photos you've backed up to Google Photos, but it won't work if you don't have anything backed up. Confirm you have photos available, or get started with Google Photos.
- Do you have face grouping enabled in Google Photos? Face grouping must be enabled in Google Photos in order for Google Clips to find relevant photos. Learn more here.
Note: The ability for Google Clips to download and analyze photos from Google Photos is not available in the state of Illinois.
