Turn on camera sharing to share your Google Clips camera with family and friends or connect to the camera with multiple phones you own.
When you share your camera, anyone who knows your camera's unique sharing key is able to view, save, and delete clips on the camera, adjust camera settings, and remove or reset the camera.
Only use camera sharing with people you trust with access to your camera and your clips.
How do I connect Google Clips to additional phones?
After setting up Google Clips, follow the steps below to turn on camera sharing:
Step 1: Set up camera sharing
- Open the Google Clips app and connect to your camera.
- Tap SettingsShare camera.
- Note your camera's unique sharing key to use on the additional phones.
Step 2: Connect additional phones
- On another phone, open the Google Clips app.

- Tap Start Setup to start pairing your camera to your Android phone.
- Tap Accept to agree to the Google Terms of Service.
- Searching for Google Clips: Press the shutter button on your camera to make sure the camera is ready to connect.
- If the Google Clips app finds your Clips camera, it will be greyed out. Tap the camera nameConnectType in your sharing keyConnect.
- If the Google Clips app cannot find your camera, make sure the camera has been properly charged and try again.
- Proceed with the setup process until your camera is ready for use.
How do I turn off camera sharing?
Once the camera sharing has been turned on, any user connected to the camera can turn camera sharing off. This will remove access for all other connected phones.
Turn off camera sharing
If camera sharing is turned on, follow the steps below to turn camera sharing off:
- Open the Google Clips app and connect to your camera.
- Tap SettingsShare camera.
Note: Turning camera sharing off will make you the primary user.
