Migrating your Nest account will allow you to use one Google Account to manage all your Google Nest and Google Home devices. Migrating your Nest account to a Google Account is optional, and once completed, isn't reversible.
There are many benefits to migrating your account, but it does change how some Nest app features work. You also will no longer be able to use the Nest app on Android TV or on Apple TV. Learn more about migrating your Nest account.
Note: You're unable to migrate a Nest account to the following types of Google Accounts:
- Google Accounts already linked with another Nest account
- Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) accounts
- Group and alias accounts
- Google Accounts for children under 13
- Unverified Google Accounts
Important: You can only link one Google Account to one Nest account. This action is irreversible so choose an account you frequently check and use.
To migrate a Nest account:
- On your mobile device, download the latest version of the Nest app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the Nest app . If you're not already signed in, sign in now.
- Tap Settings .
- Tap Migrate to a Google Account. If Migrate to a Google Account doesn't appear, your account has already been migrated to a Google Account.
- Follow the in-app instructions.
