Diagnostics
We are constantly looking to improve the experience that you have with Pixel Buds. To evaluate the reliability, usability, and use of various features, the Google Pixel Buds app reports information about how you use the app and headphones.
Specifically, the Google Pixel Buds app collects and reports anonymized data about how you use the headphones, including:
- Information about gestures you may use (increasing volume, decreasing volume, answering calls, ending calls)
- Bluetooth® connection and disconnection events
- Crash events
- Additional diagnostic and usage data
If you'd like to disable this, you can uncheck the "Send Diagnostics" checkbox when you first set up the device, or turn it off in your Google Pixel Buds settings.
Depending on your device, you can change the settings for your earbuds in different ways:
On a Pixel phone with Android 10+: Go to Settings Connected Devices tap Settings by your paired Pixel Buds name.
On other Android devices: Open the Google Pixel Buds app .- Tap More settings About turn off Send diagnostics.
Note: Turning off "Send diagnostics" won't affect your Google Assistant settings
