Change language settings on a Pixel phone

You can change the language that your phone uses.

1. Open your phone's Settings app.
2. Tap System Languages System languages.
   If you don't see 'System', then under 'Personal', tap Languages and input Languages.
3. To add a language:
   1. Tap Add a language .
   2. Choose the language that you want to use.
   3. Touch and drag your language to the top of the list.
4. To remove a language:
   1. At the top, tap More Remove.
   2. Pick a language.
   3. At the top, tap Delete .

Tip: When you add additional languages to your system settings, it helps your phone detect that language and customise content.

Change the language setting for a specific app

1. On your Android phone, open your Settings app.
2. Tap System Languages App languages.
3. Select the app that you want to change.
4. Choose a language.

Tip: To change the user language setting, the app must support language selection.
