To charge your tablet, you can use a USB-C cable or attach it to a Charging Speaker Dock.
Important: To dock your Pixel Tablet or use Hub Mode, you need a Charging Speaker Dock. You can purchase the Pixel Tablet with or without a dock, or purchase a dock separately.
Charge your tablet with a USB cable
To charge your Pixel Tablet without a Charging Speaker Dock, plug a USB cable into your tablet's USB-C port from a power adaptor plugged into a power source.
- Both the USB-C cable and adaptor that you use need to support USB 2.0.
- To charge your tablet with a USB-A power adaptor, use a USB-C to USB-A adaptor. This charges your tablet more slowly than USB-C.
Turn battery features on or off
Check the battery icon in the tablet screen's upper-right corner to check your battery charge. To display the battery percentage next to the icon:
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Tap Battery turn Battery percentage on or off.
Note: If you turn your tablet off and attach it to a Charging Speaker Dock, press the power button to get the battery charge percentage on the screen.
Adaptive charging is a feature that changes how your battery charges to help extend its lifespan. To enable or disable Adaptive charging:
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Tap Battery Battery Saver.
- Tap Adaptive Battery turn Adaptive Battery on or off.
Note: If you turn on Adaptive Charging, some notifications might be delayed.
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Tap Sound turn on Charging sounds.
- When your tablet is charging, you'll hear a sound.
- Note: You won't hear a sound if your ring and notification volume is turned all the way down.

Charge your tablet more quickly
- Use a higher-rated power supply (9V/2A recommended).
- Don't use your tablet while it's charging.
- Use a wall socket as a power source if you charge your tablet away from its dock.
