You can check how much battery your Pixel Tablet has left in the status bar at the top of your tablet's screen, or in the Settings app . When your tablet is charging, you can check how long until your battery is fully charged, and hide or display the battery percentage in the status bar.

- Some features aren't available in all countries or languages.
Check the battery level on your Pixel Tablet
Your battery level is displayed at the corner of your Pixel Tablet, in the status bar. It looks like a battery.
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Tap Battery and turn on Battery percentage.
To check how much charge is left on your battery:
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Press Battery.
- At the top, under the percentage, check how much battery charge you have left.
You can add the battery widget to your Home screen to get detailed information about your battery charge, including for any attached accessories, and for fast access to the Battery menu.
Important: The battery widget is available on Android 12 and later and works with devices that report battery info using Bluetooth or Google Fast Pair service. Learn how to check your Android version.
- On your home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- Tap Widgets Battery.
- Touch and hold the battery widget drag it to your home screen.
- To remove the battery widget, touch and hold it drag it to 'Remove' at the top of the screen.
Change your Pixel Tablet's battery usage
To check your apps' battery usage over time and change how apps use your battery:
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Press Battery Battery usage.
- Under 'View by apps', tap the app's name tap Allow background usage.
- Choose a battery setting:
- Unrestricted: Remove limits on how an app uses the battery when running in the background.
- Optimised: Recommended for most apps. Apps will make the most efficient use of your battery.
- Restricted: Restricts battery usage while in the background. Some apps might not work as expected and some notifications might be delayed.
To check your battery usage by system function like CPU, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth:
- Open your device's Settings app
- Press Battery Battery usage.
