How to wear Google Pixel Watch

How to Get the Right Fit and Change Bands on your Google Pixel Watch

Adjust the size of your Google Pixel Watch band for your comfort, and remove and change the band to match your style.

Tips for wearing Pixel Watch

Review these recommendations to help keep you comfortable when wearing your Google Pixel Watch. Ensuring the watch fits properly is also essential for more accurate sensor data collection.

  • Don't wear your band too tightly. The band should be loose enough to move back and forth on your wrist.
    • During exercise, adjust the band placement by moving it 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone for a more secure, but not too tight, fit. After exercise, lower and loosen the band so that it's loose enough to move back and forth on your wrist.
  • Wear your Google Pixel Watch on the top of your wrist for optimal data collection.
  • Remove the watch for an hour or so after extended wear.
  • We suggest taking a break from wearing your device when showering. Even though it's okay to shower with our water-resistant products2, not doing so reduces the chance of exposure to soaps, shampoos, and conditioners, which can cause long-term damage to the device.
  • If you have eczema, allergies, asthma, or skin sensitivities, you may be more likely to experience skin irritation from a wearable device.
  • Loosen or remove your watch if you experience any skin irritation or other discomfort on your wrist or your hand, such as redness, soreness, tingling, numbness, burning, or stiffness.

Select wrist orientation settings

Choose wrist orientation based on which hand you wear your watch on.

On Google Pixel Watch

  1. On Google Pixel Watch, tap Settings and then Display and then Wrist orientation.
  2. Select the wrist that you wear your watch on.
  3. Scroll down and select the location of the crown.
  4. Scroll down and tap the checkmark to save your settings.

In the Google Pixel Watch app

  1. On your phone, open the Google Pixel Watch app Google Pixel Watch.
  2. Tap Watch preferences and then Watch orientation.
  3. Select which wrist your watch is on and the location of the crown.

Secure Pixel Watch to your wrist

Note: For Active Band(included with Google Pixel Watches1) and Active Sport Band. Instructions for putting on other bands will vary.

  1. Slide the band through the outer loop.
  2. Press the metal peg into a hole.
  3. Tuck in the band. If it's too long, try the small band.

During exercise, move the band higher on your wrist (2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone) for a better fit. Our heart rate sensors work best with skin contact. Lower and loosen the band after exercise.

Remove Pixel Watch from your wrist

  1. Untuck the band.
  2. Bend the band back to release the peg.

1 Band options may vary by region and retailer. Accessory bands sold separately. 45mm accessories are only compatible with the 45mm Pixel Watch 3.

2 Google Pixel Watch is designed to comply with a water protection rating of 5 ATM under ISO standard 22810:2010 when manufactured, but it is not waterproof. Water resistance is not a permanent condition and decreases or is lost over time due to normal wear and tear, repair, disassembly or damage. Dropping your device may result in loss of water resistance. Google Pixel Watch is designed to be used in shallow water and should not be used for activities involving water at high velocity or high temperature. Some Google Pixel Watch bands are not water resistant. Go to g.co/pixelwatch/water for details. After any exposure to liquid, we recommend drying the watch and band because, as with any wearable device, it's best for your skin if the band is clean and dry.
