Enhance your on-the-go experience with apps on Pixel Watch. Your Pixel Watch comes preloaded with apps like Fitbit, Google Assistant, Phone and SMS texts. More apps can be downloaded when you update to Wear OS 4.

Find and install apps on Pixel Watch
Press the side button next to the crown of your Pixel Watch to find apps and features available on the LTE and Wi-Fi versions of Pixel Watch. Apps and features vary by device and region.
Install Google Play Store apps on Google Pixel Watch.
- On your Google Pixel Watch, press the crown.
- Tap Play Store .
- Pick a category or tap Search .
- Select the app that you want and tap Install.
Keep Pixel Watch software and apps updated
For the best experience with Google Pixel Watch, make sure that you update the system software and apps on your watch and phone. Keeping your phone, watch and app software up to date can fix pairing issues and app errors.
What to expect during app updates
Updates will typically be completed in under an hour. Once the installation starts, the Google Pixel Watch screen will show that it is preparing to update, restarting and then installing the update. Pixel Watch can't be used during this period.
For the best update experience, Pixel Watch should be:
- On its charger
- Charged to at least 50%
- Connected to Wi-Fi
Note: If the battery is at less than 50%, Google Pixel Watch will periodically check its battery status and begin installing automatically when the battery reaches over 50% charge.

How to find your Pixel Watch software version
You can find the software version that your Pixel Watch is running to determine if your software is out of date. From these settings you'll also find the model number, serial number and more watch details.
- On Google Pixel Watch, swipe down tap Settings .
- Tap System About.
How to update your phone
Keep your phone updated so that your Google Pixel Watch can pair with your phone. Check and update your Android version.
How to update your Pixel Watch
- On Google Pixel Watch, swipe down tap Settings .
- Tap System System updates. Google Pixel Watch will check for available updates. Pixel Watch can't be used during this period.
- When the installation is complete, Pixel Watch will reboot. To check the current build number and the current Android security update level, go to Settings System About Versions Build number.
How to update the Pixel Watch app on your phone
Update the Google Pixel Watch app on your phone so that your watch and phone remain paired and you can continue to access the latest features.
- On your phone, open Google Play Store .
- At the top right, tap the profile icon.
- Tap Manage apps and device Updates available. If the Google Pixel Watch has an update available, it will appear here.
- Next to 'Google Pixel Watch', tap Update.

How to update the apps on your Google Pixel Watch
Sync your Google Account to your watch
- On your phone, open the Google Pixel Watch app .
- Tap Settings Google Accounts.
- Select Add account .
- Sign in to your account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your account.
Update your watch apps
- On your Google Pixel Watch, press the crown.
- Tap Play Store Manage apps Update all.
Fix a Pixel Watch that won't update
If your Google Pixel Watch isn't updating, try this fix:
- On your Google Pixel Watch, press and hold both the crown and side button for 20 seconds.
- Wait for Pixel Watch to fully reboot.
- Go to Settings Connectivity Bluetooth Turn off Bluetooth.
- Go to Settings Connectivity Wi-Fi Turn on Wi-Fi.
- Go to Settings System System updates.
To manually check for pending updates, go to Settings System System updates.
