Use the Play Console app to track app performance

With the Play Console app, you can choose the metrics that you would like to monitor, keep up to date with messages while you’re away from your desk and enjoy popular features, like viewing and replying to app reviews, managing your orders on the go and more.

Get the Play Console app

If you haven't already, add your Google Play Developer account on your device.

  1. Go to Google Play or open the Google Play Store app Google Play Store.
  2. Search for and select the Play Console app Console app.
  3. Tap Install.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Select your developer account

To choose which account you’re using, do the following steps:

  1. Open Play Console.
  2. If prompted, select your developer account and tap OK.
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon.
  4. You’ll see the name and email address of the account that you're using.
  5. If you have more than one developer account associated with your email address, select the one that you want to use. To select a different email address, tap the down arrow Drop-down arrow.

Once you have the Play Console app, learn how you can do the following:

Set up notifications

When you get a notification from Play Console, it displays on your device's status bar.

Turn notifications on or off

  1. Open Play Console.
  2. On the top-left menu, select Settings > Notifications.
  3. Select what you want to be notified about.
Types of mobile app notifications
Notification type Description
Business critical
  • By default, business-critical notifications are turned on.
  • Includes changes to your app state, like the following:
    • App rejections
    • App update rejections
    • App suspensions
    • App removals
App updates
  • By default, release update notifications are turned off.
  • Includes publishing updates, like app updates that are pending or have gone live.

View your apps and version details

Pin your favourite apps

By default, all apps associated with your developer account will be shown in the following order:

  • Published apps
  • Unpublished apps
  • Apps with violations

To pin an app at the top of your list, select the pin icon .

View your app bundle or APK release details

To see the version details and release dates of your app bundle or APKs currently in production, staged roll-out, or alpha or beta testing:

  1. Open Play Console.
  2. Select an app.
  3. Select

    Test and release

    > Releases overview.
