You can change the display colour for most eBooks. For some eBooks, you can also change the font size, colour and line spacing.
Make the font bigger
- On your computer, go to Google Play Books.
- Open a book.
- At the top, click Display options

.Change the font style, alignment and spacing
When you view a book as flowing text, you can adjust font settings. Not all books offer flowing text.
- On your computer, go to Google Play Books.
- Open a book.
- At the top, click Display options
- Change a setting:
- Font style: Under Typeface, click an option.
- Line spacing: Under Line height, click an option.
- Text alignment: Under Justify, click an option.
Make it easier to read at night
- On your computer, go to Google Play Books.
- Open a book.
- At the top right, click Display options
- Turn on Dark theme.
Translate, define or search for a word
- On your computer, open Google Play Books.
- Open a book.
- Select a word.
- Select an option:
- Define: Get the definition of the word in English.
- Translate: Select languages to translate to and from.
- Search: Search for a word in the book or on the web.
