To sort and find your notes in Google Keep, you can label, colour and pin notes. If you're sharing a note, only you will be able to see your labels, colours and pins. You can have up to 50 labels.
Add a label
- On your computer, go to keep.google.com.
- Select the note that you want to label. To select multiple notes, point to a note and click on the tick.
- Click More .
- Click Add label or Change labels.
- Under 'Label note':
- Tick the box next to each label you want to add.
- To remove a label, untick the box next to a label.
- To create a new label, enter a name and click Create .
You'll see the label at the bottom of the note.
Delete or rename a label
- On your computer, go to keep.google.com.
- In the top left, click Menu Edit labels.
- Point to the label that you want to change.
- To delete a label, click Delete label Delete.
- To rename a label, click Rename label , enter a new label name and click Done .
Change the colour or background of your notes
- On your computer, go to keep.google.com.
- Hover over the note you want to edit. To select multiple notes, point to a note and click on the tick.
- Click Change colour . If you've selected multiple notes, you'll see this in the top right.
- Select a colour or background from the gallery.
Pin important notes
You can pin important notes to the top of your Google Keep feed to access them quickly.
- On your computer, go to keep.google.com.
- Hover over the note that you want to pin.
- Click Pin note .
