You can find the controls to improve your child’s experience in the parent menu. You can monitor app activity and other devices signed in to your child’s account. You can also control other account features, like block and unblock apps and change location settings.
Find the parent menu
Important: To manage all available parental controls, we recommend that you manage your child’s account with Family Link, but you can also manage some settings within Google Kids Space on your child’s device.
To access the parent controls:
- Press and hold the Parent menu .
- Tap Parental controls .
Important: If your child’s previous account was a supervised account, you must get their help to do this task.
- On your child's device, go to My Activity page.
- Search for the app you want to find the activity for.
- At the top right, tap More .
- To find your child’s activity, tap Details.
- To remove your child’s activity, tap Delete.
In Google Kids Space
- At the bottom right, press and hold the Parent menu .
- Choose the settings you want to manage:
- Parental controls
- Free up space
- Device settings
In the Family Link app
- Open the Family Link app.
- Select your child.
- Tap Manage settings Google Kids Space settings.
Tip: In Family Link, you can control whether your child gets recommended apps and if parental approval is required to install them.
- Open Google Kids Space.
- Tap Play My Apps.
- Press and hold the app you want to remove.
- Tap More Uninstall.
