Change your Gmail profile picture

You can choose a photo to set as your Gmail profile picture. This image shows up when someone sees your name in their email inbox or chat list.

Your Gmail profile picture is the same as your Google Account picture. Learn how to change your Google Account name and other info.

Change your picture

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture.
  3. On your profile picture, tap Camera Photo and then Change or Add profile picture.
  4. Take or choose a new profile picture.
  5. Drag your profile picture to the center of the square.
  6. Tap Next and then Save as profile picture.

Find an old profile picture

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture.
  3. On your profile picture, tap Camera Photo.
  4. At the top right, tap More More and then Past profile pictures.
