When you snooze an email, the email is removed from your inbox temporarily in Gmail. Your email comes back to the top of your inbox when you want it to, whether that's tomorrow, next week, or in the evening.
Snooze an email
Important:
- When you turn on notifications, you receive a reminder when a snoozed email reaches the specified time.
- When you turn off notifications, you don't receive reminders for snoozed emails.
- Learn how to change Gmail notifications.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app .
- Open an email.
- In the top right, tap More Snooze.
- Choose a later day and time to get the email.
Tip: To snooze multiple messages:
- Select the messages.
- At the top right, tap More Snooze.
Add “Snooze” as a swipe action
To quickly snooze messages in your inbox with a left or right swipe, add "Snooze" as a swipe action.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app .
- At the top left, tap Menu Settings General settings.
- Tap Mail swipe actions.
- Next to "Right swipe" or "Left swipe," tap Change Snooze.
Find snoozed emails
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app .
- In the top left, tap Menu Snoozed.
Tip: To search for snoozed emails, at the top, in the search bar, enter in:snoozed
