To check an important conversation or space in Google Chat, you can pin it to the top of your conversation or space list. A dot shows up next to pinned conversations and spaces with unread messages.

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chat app
or Gmail app

In Gmail: At the bottom, tap Chat
.

- Choose an action:
- In your conversation list, tap and hold the conversation.
- In your space list, tap and hold the space.
- Tap Pin or Unpin.
