You can publicly add or edit addresses in Maps. Add mailing addresses, fix where packages would be delivered, or adjust pin locations.
Fix an address
Important: Organizations or governments can fix multiple addresses on Google Maps with Google Maps Content Partners. These organizations or governments must meet our partner and content requirements to do so.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
- Search for an address
- Tap Suggest an edit Fix an address.
- Move the map to the center of the building
- Enter the address information.
- Tap Submit.
Tip: To add an address for a road that isn't on the map, first add the road.

- Tap Contribute Update address.
- Move the map to the center of the building.
- Enter the address information.
- Tap Submit.
To fix multiple addresses: You must add each address individually with the steps above.
Add a private label
You can add a private label to places on your map. When you fix an address, your update is publicly available. But only you can see your private labels. Labeled places show up on your map, in search suggestions, and in the "Your places" screen.
Add a new address to building
- Drop a pin and tap on the banner Add address.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
- Tap Submit.
