Save favourite places

Save your favourite places on Maps to easily find them on any computer, phone or tablet.

Tips

Save a place
You can add your favourite places to a list to find them easily later. Saving a place is different from downloading an offline area or adding a place. Learn how to download an offline area or add a place to Google Maps.

To save a place:

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps
  2. Click or search for a business, place or a set of coordinates.
  3. Click Save and select a list.

Only you can find your saved places unless you create and share a list of places. Google may anonymously share combined information about users’ saved places.

Save a place from another website

If a website has a map embedded from Google Maps, you can save that place to your Google Account.

  1. Open the website with a map embedded from Google Maps.
  2. Click a place on the map.
  3. Click Save and select a list.

Your star and the website name will appear on both the computer and mobile app versions of Google Maps.

Find your saved places
  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
