Find & save parking locations

Before you start driving, you can look up places to park your car. After you reach your destination, you can save your parking location so that you can find it later.

Notes

• You can only find parking near your destination in some US cities.
• You can't look up places to park on iPhone or iPad.

Add a car park to your route

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. At the top, search for a destination.
3. On the bottom, tap Directions.
4. At the bottom, tap Steps & parking. 
5. Tap Find parking near destination.
6. Choose a car park and tap Add parking.
7. On the bottom, tap Start.

Save where you've parked

You can save your parking location so that you can remember where you left your car.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. Tap the blue dot that shows your location.
3. Tap Save your parking.

Your parking location will be saved in Google Maps until you remove it.

Find where you're parked

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. Tap the search bar  Parking location.
3. On the bottom, tap Directions .

Turn notifications on or off

You can get notifications for parking information, such as where you parked and for how long.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. Tap your profile picture or initial   Settings .
3. Tap Notifications Places.
4. Scroll down, then turn Saved parking on or off.
