Request a review for your issues

If your promotion or the product data you share with Merchant Center doesn't meet the Shopping policy requirements and product data specifications, your promotion may be subject to disapproval which may prevent your promotion from showing on Google.

In some instances, you may need to request a review of the disapproved promotion in order to resolve the issue. If available, the option to request a review will be available in the promotion’s status column under “See review status”.

  • If you’ve identified and resolved the issue, select the checkbox I confirm that I’ve fixed all the issues for this promotion.
  • If you believe our findings are an error, select I disagree with the issue link.
  • Contact us for support if you’re uncertain about the issue or about how to proceed.

Google wants you and your business to be successful. The following are some things to keep in mind when requesting a review.

Notifications

The review may take up to 1 business day to complete. The status of your review will be reflected in Merchant Center or in your third-party application.

Details of when you requested the review will also appear in Merchant Center.

Request Review - I fixed the issue

If you’re able to resolve the issue, you can indicate this by clicking on the link “See Review Status” and selecting the checkbox I confirm that I’ve fixed all the issues for this promotion in the Merchant Center.

To better understand the issue and how to resolve it, review our Promotions policy requirements. If you continue having trouble resolving the issue, contact us for support.

I disagree with the issue

Google has the responsibility to protect customers and we take violations of our policies seriously. If you believe the issue applied to your account or product is a mistake, you can appeal the violation by clicking “I disagree with the issue”.

Before you disagree with the issue, make sure you understand the policy and can support the request. We want to provide a safe and trustworthy ecosystem for customers, and we may need more information.

You may receive a prompt to submit additional information explaining why the promotion isn’t violating our policies or why the disapproval wasn’t justified. The ability to appeal and provide verification can provide a safe ecosystem, is a simple process, and can build trust.

You may only have one chance to disagree with the issue. Once you’ve requested the review and appealed the issue, you may be required to fix the issue based on our policies and requirements.

Note: It may take up to 1 business day to complete the review.

If you requested a review and the account is still suspended, your account may be in a cooldown period. The cooldown period is a set amount of time where you are unable to request a review of your account. This period is generally triggered by multiple failed review attempts. To request a review of your Merchant Center account:

  1. Sign in to your Google Merchant Center account.
  2. Click Products on the navigation menu.
  3. Under the “Needs attention” tab, locate the account-level issues listed in the summary cards at the top of the page.
  4. Locate the product-level issue that you would like to have reviewed.
  5. Click Fix.
  6. Then click either I fixed the issue or I disagree with the issue.
    • If you disagree with the issue, you may need to complete additional steps, such as an appeal reason and/or upload required documentation.
    • If you’ve fixed the issue, read and check the pop-up window to ensure that you understand the review process, and its requirements and limitations.
