How to fix: Promotional overlay on Vehicle image: image link [image_link]

Why this issue is happening

Some of the images for your vehicles listed for sale on Google have promotional text or obstructing elements, such as retailer logos, calls to action, or watermarks. Since clear images of a vehicle help inform online shoppers, all vehicle ads require an image with an unobstructed view of the vehicle that doesn’t contain additional promotional elements. Vehicle ads that don’t meet this requirement will receive warnings until you’ve updated their images. Turn on image improvements to automatically fix your images. How to fix your issue

To resolve this issue, change the URL that you’ve submitted for the image link [image_link] attribute so that it points to the vehicle image without overlays. Submit a new URL rather than updating an existing URL with new content, as this will force a faster fetch of the new image.

Fix products one by one directly in Merchant Center

Step 1Go to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.

Step 2Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.

Step 3Click on the title of the vehicle you want to fix, then click Edit product.

Step 4Make sure each vehicle image is of high-quality without any overlays.

Step 5Click Save.

Fix multiple products at once

Step 1Go to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.

Step 2Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.

Step 3Select the download icon to download a list (.csv) of all affected products for all issues or this particular issue.

Step 4Cross reference the downloaded list with your uploaded product data and make sure each vehicle image is of high-quality without any overlays.

Step 5Reupload your corrected product data to Merchant Center using your chosen upload method.

After making the requested changes, check that you’ve fixed the issue by making sure it’s no longer listed on the “Needs attention” page.

Keep in mind: It may take some time for your change to be reflected on the “Needs attention” page.
