Instructions
Step 1 of 2: Set up a loyalty delivery policy
After entering your loyalty programme information in Merchant Center, create a new delivery policy to associate delivery benefits for your loyalty members. These delivery benefits can be configured for each tier of your loyalty programme.
In your Merchant Center account, navigate to the 'Your business' tab and select 'Delivery and returns' from the left navigation menu.
Click Add delivery policy to create a new loyalty delivery policy.
In 'Add your delivery information' setup, complete the steps for 'Name and countries'.
- Name the delivery policy following this format:
loyalty_program:program_label:tier_label
On the 'Products' page, always select 'All products'.
- Loyalty delivery policies only apply to products that have a delivery label
[shipping_label]
sub-attribute within the loyalty programme[loyalty_program]
attribute. Don't add a regular delivery label[shipping_label]
to the loyalty delivery policy.
On the 'Delivery times' and 'Delivery costs' page, add the delivery speed and delivery cost associated with the tier.
- Provide the perk associated with each programme after you create the new delivery policy. For example, you can include that members can have free delivery for orders over £10.
Repeat the steps to create a new delivery policy, and add delivery benefits associated with each membership tier. You can also add a same-day delivery policy benefit for your loyalty members.
Loyalty delivery policy requirement
When creating a new delivery policy, follow the naming convention: loyalty_program:program_label:tier_label
. The programme label should reflect the high-level programme, and the tier label should reflect the label specific to the tier. These must match what you have provided in the loyalty programme setup page.
Examples
- loyalty_program:acme_loyalists:silver for orders >= USD 50
- loyalty_program:acme_loyalists:gold for orders >=USD 35
- loyalty_program:acme_loyalists:platinum free delivery
Step 2 of 2: Select offers eligible for the delivery benefit
Add the delivery label [shipping_label]
sub-attribute within the loyalty programme [loyalty_program]
attribute in the offers that are eligible for loyalty delivery benefit.
In case some offers are ineligible for the loyalty delivery benefit, don't include the shipping_label [shipping_label]
sub-attribute within the loyalty programme [loyalty_program]
attribute. We rely on the shipping_label [shipping_label]
sub-attribute to determine whether a product is eligible for the loyalty delivery policy.
Example
Attribute header: loyalty_program(program_label:tier_label:price:loyalty_points:member_price_effective_date:shipping_label)
- Offer A is eligible for loyalty delivery benefits.
program_label:tier_label:price:loyalty_points:member_price_effective_date:shipping_label
- Offer B isn't eligible for loyalty delivery benefits.
program_label:tier_label:price:loyalty_points:member_price_effective_date:
Offer-level delivery [shipping]
attribute overrides any account-level delivery settings that are configured. However, the offer-level attribute doesn't override loyalty delivery policies at the account level. It only overrides non-loyalty delivery policies at the account level.
Manage visibility of your delivery policy
You can adjust the visibility of your delivery policy by choosing 'Show on Google' or 'Hide on Google'.
