Why this issue is happening
One or more of the values you’ve submitted for unique product identifier (UPI) attributes are either missing or aren't recognized as a valid identifier. Depending on the country that you’re targeting and the Google product category of the product you’re showing, you may be required to provide unique product identifiers or to state that such identifiers don’t exist for that item.
How to fix your issue
For each product, provide the appropriate unique product identifier values (GTIN [gtin]
, MPN [mpn]
, and brand [brand]
) based on our UPI guidelines. You may also need to add a value for the identifier exists [identifier_exists]
attribute.
Fix products one by one directly in Merchant Center
Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.
Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.
Click on the title of the product you want to fix, then click Edit product.
Check your product data and make sure that the product has either an accurate GTIN [gtin]
attribute or both an MPN [mpn]
and brand [brand]

Select Save.
Fix multiple products at once
Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.
Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.
Select the Download icon to download a list (.csv) of all affected products for all issues or this particular issue.
Cross reference the downloaded list with your product data, and ensure you've provided either an accurate GTIN [gtin]
attribute or both an MPN [mpn]
and brand [brand]

Reupload your corrected product data to Merchant Center using your chosen upload method.
Next steps
After making the requested changes, check that you’ve fixed the issue by making sure it’s no longer listed on the “Needs attention” page.
