You can use Android's TalkBack screen reader with Google Messages. You can also zoom in on messages to temporarily increase text size.

Use TalkBack with Google Messages

You can use TalkBack to send and receive text messages, pictures, videos and voice recordings in Google Messages. Learn how to turn on TalkBack on your device.

TalkBack lets you use Google Messages with its standard gestures and touch exploration. For example, you can swipe down or right to move to the next object on the screen, or double-tap to select an item.

Zoom in on a message to increase text size

  1. Open Google Messages .
  2. Go to a conversation
  3. Select a message.
  4. Pinch to zoom in on the message and make the text bigger.

Tip: To decrease the text size back to the default setting, pinch to zoom out.
