In Publisher Center, you can view and manage the readers who subscribe or contribute to your site.
Find member info
You can find member info like name, email address, status, contribution amount, contribution occurrence, order ID, payment, and date of contribution or subscription.
To find member info:
- Open Publisher Center.
- Select your publication.
- Click Reader Revenue Manager.
- Under "Menu", click Members.
Tip: To search for a specific reader, in the search box, enter an email address or order ID.
Edit a membership
Cancel a membership
When you cancel a membership, the reader no longer gets charged on a recurring basis but their membership remains active for the current billing period.
To cancel a reader’s membership:
- Open Publisher Center.
- Select your publication.
- Click Reader Revenue Manager.
- Under "Menu", click Members.
- Click the member's name.
- Under “Membership,” click Cancel membership Yes.
Refund a membership
When you refund a membership, the reader gets refunded the amount they paid for a contribution or subscription billing period.
To refund a reader’s membership:
- Open Publisher Center.
- Select your publication.
- Click Reader Revenue Manager.
- Under "Menu", click Members.
- Click the member’s name.
- Under “Transaction history,” select the transaction date.
- Click Refund order Yes.
Terminate a membership
Important: You can only immediately terminate a reader’s membership while issuing a refund. If you refund mid-month and choose to terminate, the membership stops immediately.
To terminate a reader’s membership:
- Open Publisher Center.
- Select your publication.
- Click Reader Revenue Manager.
- Under "Menu", click Members.
- Click the member’s name.
- Under “Transaction history,” select the transaction date.
- Select Also terminate membership.
- Click Refund order Yes.
Check your insights & data reporting
In Publisher Center, the insights page helps you identify trends and analyze your Reader Revenue Manager performance.
To access your insights page:
- Open Publisher Center.
- Select your publication.
- Click Reader Revenue Manager.
- Under "Menu," click Activity.
Filter activity
You can filter your publisher activity page by time period, payment options, plans, and products.
You can view the last 7, 12, 30, 90 days, or all time. If you select “Last 90 days,” the report shows the last 90 days of total active members, new members, member cancellations, and revenue for subscriptions and contributions.
Cancellation metrics
In Publisher Center, you can find both voluntary and involuntary cancellations.
- Voluntary cancellation: This happens when the customer ends their subscription.
- Involuntary cancellation: This happens when the customer's subscription ends due to circumstances beyond their control, like credit card expiration or outdated payment info.
Add a filter
Payment options:
- Under the "Activity" tab, in the search box, click Add filter.
- Click Payment options.
- Select Subscriptions, Contributions, or All.
- Click Apply.
Plans:
- Under the "Activity" tab, in the search box, click Add filter.
- Click Plans Plan options.
- Click Apply.
Products:
Important: You can only filter by product if you've created multiple product IDs.
- Under the "Activity" tab, in the search box, click Add filter.
To remove a filter: Next to an existing filter, click Delete .
To modify a filter: Click the filter and change the values.
