Reader Revenue Buy Flow Migration

Important: This article is intended for publishers who migrate from Subscribe with Google to Reader Revenue Manager Enterprise. If you're a new publisher, learn how to get started with Reader Revenue Manager Enterprise.

Before you start your Subscribe with Google to Reader Revenue Manager Enterprise (RRME) Migration, to know more about the migration process, we recommend you review our migration guidelines.

Once you’re ready to migrate your buy flow implementation to the new RRME stack, reach out through the Contact us form. To help you kick start the migration process, our support team will enable the migration experience.

In general, you can complete the following actions through the migration tool:

To access the migration tool, after you have asked Google to enable the migration tool for you:

  1. Go to Publisher Center.
  2. Select your publication.
    • You should find an updated version of the RRME Card.
  3. To review your original Subscribe with Google settings, click Go to Legacy Settings.
  4. To configure the new RRME version of the product, click Go to the new configuration.

To update your Enterprise configuration:

  1. Validate your publication settings.
    1. Verify that you have the right logo, publication policy urls, and authorized domains.
    2. Update above details if needed.
  2. Copy existing Subscribe with Google offers also known as pricing plans or create brand new offers or plans.
    1. Click Create pricing plans for your content.
    2. In the dialog box that appears, enter your pricing plan details like plan duration, pricing, frequency, trial period, and benefits. Learn how to create pricing plans.
      • If you want to copy existing plan details over, you can toggle between the legacy and new configuration sections.
        • Ensure that you use the same product ID in both instances.
      • If you wish to set up new offers, you can also create new plans.
  3. To sell content access and receive payouts from Google, create or link a new payment profile. Learn more about Payment profiles.
    • Tip: The payment profile must be tied to a Google account and applies to:
      • All publications with a given organization.
      • All organizations created using the same Google account.
  4. Click Finalize pricing.
  5. Enable your pricing plans.
    • Tip: Once a plan is live you can't currently change key features like:
      • Pricing
      • Frequency
      • Trial period, and more
  6. To complete your configuration for the new Enterprise version, click Activate.
    1. When you click "Activate," this enables access to all SwG.js libraries and RRME APIs.
    2. On “Settings” tab, once you activate your publication, you can create Pub/Sub topics and update your developer settings.
