What’s the difference between NotebookLM and NotebookLM Plus?

Premium features only available in NotebookLM Plus:
- Sharing a "Chat-only" notebook - You can customize how you share your notebook with other users now. You can give others access to the entire notebook including sources and notes, or give them chat-only access. Learn more about sharing a “Chat-only” notebook here.
- Advanced chat settings - You can customize your notebook by choosing preferred response style (for example ‘Guide’ or ‘Analyst’) or create a custom style based on your needs. You can also select the output length (for example, ‘Longer’ or ‘Shorter'). Learn more about Advanced chat settings here.
- Notebook analytics - Once you have shared your notebook with others, you can view data on how many users have accessed it per day, and how many queries they’ve made per day in the last week. Learn more about Notebook analytics in NotebookLM Plus.
NotebookLM vs NotebookLM Plus User Limits
With NotebookLM, you can have up to 100 notebooks, with each notebook containing up to 50 sources. Each of those sources can be up to 500,000 words long. All users start with up to 50 chat queries and 3 audio generations per day.
If you upgrade to NotebookLM Plus, you get at least 5X more usage, with up to 500 notebooks and 300 sources per notebook. The daily query limits also increase, providing you with up to 500 chat queries and 20 audio generations per day.
Where to get NotebookLM Plus
NotebookLM Plus is available to Google Workspace customers as part of the Gemini for Workspace add-on. So now, customers can get the benefit of Gemini and NotebookLM Plus.
An enterprise version is available via Google Cloud with additional privacy and security features like VPC-SC, IAM controls and more.
In early 2025, NotebookLM Plus will also be offered to consumers through Google One AI Premium.
