What is Orion Wi-Fi?
Orion Wi-Fi lets businesses sell capacity on their existing Wi-Fi network to cellular carriers.
Orion Wi-Fi is designed for public venues -- businesses with lots of public visitors. Examples: big-box stores, malls, stadiums, downtown districts, hotels, airports, hospitals, office buildings, residential buildings, convention centers.
Orion facilitates Wi-Fi Offload, which improves connectivity for your visitors and earns you revenue. Without Orion, Wi-Fi Offload can be complicated and expensive to implement.
Orion Wi-Fi makes it easy, quick, and free. With Orion, even small locations can offer better connectivity to their visitors and earn revenue from their existing Wi-Fi network.
Is my Wi-Fi network compatible with Orion Wi-Fi?
Very likely yes, if you have a commercial-grade Wi-Fi system.
Orion Wi-Fi works with most commercial and enterprise Wi-Fi networks, such as those from Cisco, Ruckus, Meraki, UniFi and Juniper Mist. See here for a more complete list of supported APs.
Consumer-grade Wi-Fi access points are NOT SUPPORTED. Consumer Wi-Fi routers (like Netgear, Linksys, Eero, Nest Wi-Fi, Asus, or TP-Link) do not support the necessary protocols and cannot scale to large numbers of users.
What is the end-user (visitor) experience?
It’s completely transparent -- the visitor doesn’t do anything. If the visitor’s carrier uses Orion Wi-Fi and chooses to buy capacity from you, the visitor’s phone will just auto-connect to your Wi-Fi. That’s it.
How much does Orion Wi-Fi cost?
Orion Wi-Fi has no sign-up, set-up, or deployment fees. Once deployed, you can turn it off at any time. Orion Wi-Fi just charges a percent of the revenue you earn.

Is Orion Wi-Fi available globally?
Not at this time. Orion Wi-Fi is currently only available in the United States.
Is this a consumer service?
No, Orion Wi-Fi is not available directly to consumers.
Can Orion Wi-Fi see my web traffic for any reason, including for marketing or advertising?
No, the Orion Wi-Fi platform has been designed so that Orion Wi-Fi cannot see or access a user's web traffic for any reason (including marketing or advertising).
